Overview
The Components tab on an Asset now supports a grid view, alongside the existing list view, so you can see more components on one screen at a glance. Grid items show a full component image, key details, and whether the component is linked to a QR code.
This is available on both Android and iOS.
Switching Between List and Grid View
Open an asset and go to its Components tab
Next to the audited dropdown, tap the view toggle icon
Tap it again to switch back
NOTE: Your choice is remembered — it's saved per user and applies the next time you open this screen, even after restarting the app.
What a Grid Item Shows
Each grid tile displays:
The component's full image (or a placeholder icon if it has no image)
An overlay across the bottom with the component's description, and its component type's name and description
A green QR code badge in the top-left corner, if the component is linked to a QR code
A ⋮ menu button in the corner (or a selection checkbox when you're selecting multiple components)
Tapping a grid item opens that component's detail screen, showing its info and task list — the same as list view, with the same menu options, except Select and Delete aren't available from this screen.
Moving Multiple Components to a Different Section
Long-press any component tile to start selecting
Tap additional tiles to add them to the selection
Use the action bar that appears to either Delete the selected components or tap Change Section to move them
If moving, pick the destination section
NOTE: This is a select-and-move action, not drag-and-drop — you pick components, then choose a destination section rather than dragging tiles around.
Notes
The grid vs. list preference is saved separately for each user on each tenant
Long-press-to-select is available in grid view; in list view, use the ⋮ menu's Select option instead
Behavior is identical on Android and iOS
Summary
The Components tab now offers a grid view in addition to list view, toggled with an icon next to the audited dropdown. Grid tiles show the component's image, description, type info, and a QR-linked badge, and your view preference is remembered per user. Long-press a tile to select multiple components and move them to a different section, or tap a tile to open its full detail screen.
