The Quick Edit Fields panel gives technicians a dedicated, tabbed view for quick-editing a component's fields and its tasks' fields on mobile, matching the web experience.

Tap the Assets tab in the bottom navigation bar.

Tap an asset, then tap Components.

Switch the Components tab to Grid view using the view-toggle icon.

Tap a component tile — this opens the Quick Edit screen.

NOTE: This only works from Grid view. In List view (the default), tapping a component opens the regular Edit Component screen instead, which has no path to Quick Edit Fields.

How to Quick-Edit Component and Task Fields

From the Quick Edit screen, tap the sliders icon in the top-right corner to open Quick Edit Fields.

Tap the Component tab to edit fields on the component.

Tap the Task tab to edit fields on the component's tasks.

Fields marked as required are enabled by default and cannot be turned off from this panel, so a component or task always has the information Redlist needs to track it.
