Understanding Contract Organization
Contracts are stored at either the Group or Tenant level:
Group-Level Contracts — Uploaded to a group and accessible by authorized users in that group. These files are not automatically distributed to tenants within the group.
Tenant-Level Contracts — Uploaded to a specific tenant and accessible by users with permissions in that tenant.
Separate from Documents — Contract files are stored separately from general documents, keeping your contract library organized and easy to manage.
Note: Contracts and Documents are managed independently. Uploading a file in the Contracts tab will not appear in the Documents tab, and vice versa.
Best Practices
Use Descriptive Filenames: Include the contract type, client name, and date in the filename (e.g., "ServiceAgreement-AcmeCorp-2025.pdf") so contracts are easy to identify.
Upload at the Correct Level: Upload contracts to the group level for group-wide agreements, or to the tenant level for tenant-specific contracts.
Regular Review: Periodically audit your Contracts tab to remove expired or superseded contracts and keep your library current.
Version Control: When updating a contract, include a version number or effective date in the filename to distinguish it from previous versions.
Consistent File Formats: Prefer PDF format for contracts to ensure files are viewable by all users regardless of their local software.
Troubleshooting
