Certifications User Guide

The Certifications page in Redlist lets you view, manage, and organize all certifications for your organization by group, asset, or employee. This guide explains each feature and how to navigate, search, and access key information.

Overview The page is split into:

  • Sidebar: Lists groups and certifications, assets, or employees depending on the selector.

  • Canvas: Shows the main table or detail view for the item you select.

Sidebar What you see

  • View selector: A dropdown at the top with three options:

    • Certification Groups

    • Assets

    • Employees

  • Search field: Searches the items in the sidebar list (groups and certifications in Certification Groups; assets in Assets; employees in Employees).

  • Filters: Opens filtering options for the current list type; options vary by list type.

  • Breadcrumbs with a Home link: Shows your current position within the group hierarchy. Clicking Home returns you to the root group.

  • List of cards:

    • Certification Groups view: Shows group cards; within a group you can also see certification cards.

    • Assets view: Shows asset cards; selecting an asset displays its associated certifications on the canvas.

    • Employees view: Shows employee cards; selecting an employee displays their associated certifications on the canvas.

  • Sidebar header actions:

    • Blue + button: Opens a modal to create a certification.

    • Ellipsis menu: Export All and Export All Instances. Both download CSV files and always export the full dataset (not limited by filters or search).

  • Bottom actions:

    • Create Group: Same action as the Create Group button on the canvas.

    • Caret next to + Create Group: Hides/shows the sidebar.

Canvas

  • List display: Shows items for the current list type based on the Sidebar selection. Column details and row behaviors are documented per list type.

  • Create actions:

    • Create Group: Starts a new group.

    • Create Certification: Starts a new certification. Button visibility depends on Sidebar context and permissions.

  • Overview tiles: Certification, Expiring Soon Certification, and Expired Certification show high‑level counts for the Home root group. These are informational and may be hidden based on Sidebar selection.

  • Row selection: Checkboxes support bulk actions. For details, including how to revoke certifications via Bulk Edit, see Revoke Certifications.

Access and visibility

  • The Certifications view must be enabled.

  • Permissions control the ability to view, create, edit, and delete.
