Overview
The Groups View in Certifications organizes your certification records into a folder-like hierarchy of groups and subgroups. With the new search bar, you can find any certification or group directly from the Groups View — without needing to know which folder it's in. Results show the full path in the hierarchy so you can confirm the right record before navigating to it.
Accessing the Groups View
From the navigation, click Certifications.
In the left panel, click the view dropdown and select Groups.

How to Search for a Certification or Group
Click the search bar at the top of the Groups View left panel.
Type the name of a certification or group.
Results appear as you type. Each result shows:
An icon identifying the result type
The certification or group name
The full path showing where it sits in your hierarchy (e.g., Safety / OSHA / Forklift Certification)
Click a result to navigate directly to that certification or group.
Note: Search looks across all groups and certifications in your hierarchy — including items nested deeply in subgroups. You do not need to know which folder an item is in to find it.
Use Cases
Can't remember which folder a cert is in — Type the certification name in the search bar. Results appear with their full path, so you can confirm the right record before clicking.
Looking for all certifications under a group — Type the group name to surface it directly, then click to expand it and view its contents.
Large hierarchies with many subgroups — Organizations with deep or complex group structures can use search to skip manual browsing and get to the right certification in seconds.
Best Practices
Search by partial name: You don't need to type the full name — a few characters narrow results quickly.
Use the path to confirm before navigating: When multiple results look similar, read the path to make sure you're clicking the right one.
Search for groups, not just certs: Typing a group name surfaces the group itself, letting you navigate directly to it without scrolling the hierarchy.
Combine search with browsing: Use search to jump to the right section of a large hierarchy, then browse within that group for related certifications.
Troubleshooting
Issue: Search results appear but the path looks unfamiliar.
Solution:
The path reflects the group structure as currently configured in your account.
If your organization recently reorganized groups, the path will reflect the new structure.
Click the result to navigate to it and verify it's the correct record.
