How to Set Up:

  1. Admin enables 2FA for user(s) (or user can enable via profile). This is done through "Settings", then "User Roles/Permissions"

  2. Edit or create a new User

When this is selected, Users will be required to use an authenticator app to login into their Redlist account. Initial setup of two-factor authentication will be required when they first login.

    On Mobile

  3. Complete the 2FA setup on mobile. This is found when the mobile app is opened after requiring the two-factor authentication for a user.

  4. Click "OPEN AUTHENTICATOR APP". Any authenticator app can be used, select only one.

  5. Click yes when asked to "Add token".

  6. Copy the code from the authenticator app, then click "VERIFY CODE".

  7. Other options include the user of QR code copying secret keys.

  8. Download/save backup recovery codes.

Recovery:

  • Use a recovery code if you lose authenticator access.

  • Using a recovery code resets your 2FA setup and invalidates previous codes.

Notes:

  • 2FA setup is required only once per device/account reset.

  • Compatible with Google Authenticator, Authy, and other standard apps.
