Overview
This guide covers how to access the Redlist web app, log in for the first time, set up the mobile app, and configure your navigation so you can get to the tools you need quickly.
How to Log In to the Web App
The Redlist web app is accessible from any supported browser using your account email and password.
Open Google Chrome (recommended) and go to app.yourredlist.com — Alternatively, go to getredlist.com or redlistlube.com and click Sign In in the top right corner — this redirects to the same login screen.
Enter the email address you provided to the Redlist team.
Enter your password.
Click Sign In — you will be taken directly into your account.
NOTE: When you first sign up, you will receive a welcome email asking you to verify your email address. Complete that step before logging in for the first time.
How to Verify Your Email Address
Verifying your email address is required before you can log in for the first time and is needed for password resets and Redlist product notifications.
After signing up, check your inbox for a welcome email from Redlist.
Open the email and click the verification link.
Once verified, return to app.yourredlist.com and log in.
NOTE: If you do not receive the welcome email, check your spam or junk folder. If it is not there, contact your Redlist CSM or support team to have it resent.
How to Set a Default Homepage
Setting a default homepage means Redlist takes you directly to your most-used view every time you log in.
If you haven't set a default home page yet:
Upon logging in, you can access the Default Home Page dropdown immediately on the default landing page.
Select the page you want to land on when you log in (for example, Assets or Routes).
Click Save.
To update an existing default home page:
Click the profile icon.
Select Profile from the dropdown menu.
On your profile page, locate the Default Home Page dropdown.
Select the page you want to land on when you log in (for example, Assets or Routes).
Click Save.
How to Download and Log In to the Mobile App
The Redlist mobile app uses the same login credentials as the web app.
Open the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android) on your device.
Search for Redlist.
Download and install the app.
Open the app and enter the same email address and password you use for the web app.
Tap Sign In.
How to Customize the Mobile Bottom Navigation
Each user can pin their most-used tools to the bottom navigation bar on the mobile app. This change is user-specific and does not affect anyone else on your team.
Tap Tools.
Tap Menu Settings.
Re-arrange the items that will show in the bottom navigation bar.
Once done rearranging, the changes appear in the bottom navigation bar.
NOTE: This customization applies to the Redlist mobile app only.
Understanding Recommended Browsers
The Redlist web app works on Chrome and Edge. Chrome is recommended — it receives the most testing and is the most optimized. Other browsers may display some elements differently.
Understanding Whitelisting
If your organization uses a firewall, you may need to whitelist Redlist URLs before you can access the web app or its support tools. Contact your Redlist CSM or message Redlist support to get the list of URLs to provide to your IT team.
Understanding the Lube Management Navigation
If your account is configured for Lubrication Management, you will see a simplified navigation specific to that tool — this is intentional. The Lube Management navigation removes modules you don't need and surfaces the tools most relevant to lubrication programs. If you are on the older navigation and want to switch, contact your CSM.
Use Cases
New technician setting up the mobile app — A technician receives their Redlist credentials on their first day. They download the app from the Play Store, log in with their email and password, and pin Routes and Assets to the bottom navigation so the tools they use most are always one tap away.
Manager configuring a default homepage — A maintenance manager starts every day by reviewing the asset list. They set Assets as their default homepage so that each time they log in on the web, they land directly on their asset list without extra clicks.
IT team setting up access behind a firewall — A company's IT team needs to allow Redlist through their corporate firewall. They contact the Redlist CSM to receive the whitelist URL list, then add those URLs to the firewall allowlist so all field and office staff can access the app.
Best Practices
Use Chrome for the Web App: Chrome is optimized for Redlist — use it to avoid display inconsistencies and ensure the best performance.
Set a Default Homepage on Day One: Configure your default homepage during initial setup so you land in the right place every time you log in.
Customize Mobile Navigation Per Role: Each user should pin the tools they use most to the bottom bar — a technician's setup will look different from a manager's, and that's expected.
Use NFC-Capable Devices: In field environments, NFC scanning is more reliable than QR codes when tags are dirty or scratched — choose devices that support it.
Troubleshooting
Issue: Cannot access the Redlist web app from the office network.
Solution:
Your organization's firewall may be blocking Redlist.
Contact your Redlist CSM or support to get the list of URLs that need to be whitelisted.
Provide that list to your IT team to allow access through the firewall.
Issue: Did not receive the welcome email after signing up.
Solution:
Check your spam or junk folder.
Contact your Redlist CSM or support team to have the verification email resent.
Issue: Mobile app shows content from a previous session after logging in.
Solution:
Ensure you performed a sync while connected before going into areas with no connectivity.
Pull down to refresh the screen to load the latest data.
Issue: Bottom navigation on mobile does not show the tools you need.
Solution:
Tap Tools, then tap Menu Settings.
Select the tools you want pinned and tap Save.
Summary
To get started with Redlist, log in at app.yourredlist.com using Chrome, download the mobile app from the App Store or Play Store using the same credentials, and customize your homepage and mobile navigation to match your daily workflow. For firewall or access issues, contact your CSM for the URL whitelist.
