Overview
When composing a post or reply in Comms Hub, you can ask Redd, Redlist's AI assistant, to rewrite your draft in a clearer and more concise format. Redd returns a reformatted version of your message for review, and you choose whether to apply it. Any @ mentions and # tags in your message are preserved exactly as written — Redd only rewrites the surrounding text.
Accessing Comms Hub
Option A — Via the bottom tab bar (if the Comms Hub tab is visible):
Tap the Comms Hub tab (speech bubble icon) in the bottom navigation bar
Option B — Via the sidebar menu:
Tap the hamburger menu button (three-line icon) in the top left corner of the screen

How to Reformat a Post or Reply with AI
The AI reformat option is available any time you are composing or editing a post or reply in Comms Hub.
Open Comms Hub and tap New Post
or tap to reply to an existing post
Type your draft message in the text field
Tap the sparkles (✦) button in the toolbar row directly above the keyboard
An alert appears: "Reformat with AI? — Would you like AI to reformat and reword your message? Mentions and tags will be preserved."
Tap Reformat to proceed, or tap Cancel to return to your draft unchanged
A Reformatting... loading indicator appears while Redd processes your message
When complete, a Review AI Suggestion sheet opens showing the reformatted version of your message
Review the suggestion and choose one of the following:
Tap Replace to replace your current draft with the AI-reformatted version
Tap Cancel to dismiss the suggestion and keep your original draft
Continue editing, add tags as needed, and tap Post to publish
Note: The reformatted suggestion is shown for your review before anything changes. Your original message is not modified until you tap Replace.
Understanding What Gets Preserved
When Redd reformats your message, it only rewrites the plain text. The following are always preserved exactly as they appear in your draft:
@ mentions — User and role mentions remain unchanged
# tags — Asset, work order, and job tags remain unchanged
Tag chips — Any tags added via the Mention or Tag button (shown as chips below the text) are not affected
Understanding the Review AI Suggestion Sheet
When the reformatting is complete, the Review AI Suggestion sheet opens with:
AI Reformatted Suggestion heading — identifies the sheet as an AI-generated result
Suggested text — the reformatted version of your message, displayed in a scrollable text area
Replace button — applies the suggestion, replacing the text in your compose field
Cancel button (top left) — closes the sheet without making any changes to your draft
Best Practices
Write Your Thoughts First, Then Reformat: Draft your message with all the details you want to include, then use AI reformat to clean it up — this gives Redd the full context it needs to produce a useful suggestion.
Review Before Replacing: Read the full suggestion in the review sheet before tapping Replace — verify that the meaning and key details were preserved correctly.
Add Tags Before or After Reformatting: Inline mentions and tags are preserved through reformatting, so you can add them before or after. Tags added via the Mention or Tag button are separate from the text and are never affected.
Troubleshooting
Issue: The sparkles button is not visible above the keyboard
Solution: The toolbar only appears when the text field is focused and the keyboard is open. AI must also be enabled in the account.

Issue: The Reformatting... indicator appears but nothing happens
